*Position: Program Manager for Green Economy*
*Background*
Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) is an Indonesia think tank
on energy and environment, based in Jakarta. IESR aims to accelerate low
carbon energy transition in Indonesia and address its impacts to Indonesia
economy and society. IESR produces facts and science based analysis for
policy makers, stakeholders and general public.
IESR is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to serve as Green
Economy Program Manager. The selected person will manage and/or oversee
various of projects and initiatives related to climate change policies,
climate governance, green/clean investment, and coal transitions.
*About the Position*
The manager shall manage and implement the program cluster of green economy
including projects under this program. The Green Economy program encompass
various theme: climate change, low carbon economy, coal transition,
extractive industry governance, and green and sustainable industry.
The manager shall be able to draw implementation strategy, including policy
advocacy and campaign strategies, identify research priorities, manage
deliverable and reporting, and seeking opportunity for fund-raising.
*Key roles and responsibilities*
§ Program strategy: fine-tuning program and project strategies and adapt
with situation/trend and create policy advocacy spaces, identify research
needed, and commission knowledge products.
§ Project management: undertake planning and implementation of activities,
manage projects reporting, and consulting.
§ Communication: develop and direct communication strategy and messaging,
direct knowledge management, and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
§ Networking: build and maintain network with key stakeholders.
§ Fund-raising: identify fund raising opportunity, write proposal.
§ Contribution to other projects to build synergies and create maximum
impact.
*Qualification*
§ An Indonesia native, educated to master degree level (in the field of
economics, sciences, engineering) with minimum 5 years’ work experience in
reputable organisation.
§ Experience of working on energy, extractive industries, climate change
is strongly preferred.
§ Demonstrable experience in engagement with stakeholders, particularly
government and CSO.
§ Demonstrable experience in project development and management.
§ Excellent integrity and work ethic.
§ Experience of communicating and networking with external stakeholders.
§ Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrable ability to work as part
of a team, including with external partners, and distance working.
§ Professional English fluency, both in writing and speaking, is required.
§ Excellent with MS Office/MS Office-like system.
§ Available to work started in September 2020.
*Duration*
Two years contract and can be extended, with 3 months probation.
*Salary*
Salary and benefits are competitive and will be commensurate with
candidate’s qualification and experiences.
