Yayasan Indonesia Bhadra Utama (IBU Foundation) is focused onstrengthening
community empowerment, research and two-ways policy engagement,in poverty
alleviation, maternal and child health, early childhood developmentas well as
disaster risk reduction programs.
IBU Foundation (IBU) is currently responding to the earthquake inWest Sulawesi
by sending the trained volunteers and staff to implementPsychosocial support
and Non-Food Items (NFI) distribution, including medicalservices to people
affected in West Sulawesi through programs which is titled“Rumah Kencana” –
Ruang Ramah Anak Paska Bencana. The project duration is for 1,5month to fill
the gaps the emergency response from the government and otherhumanitarian
organisation.
IBU is seeking a Midwifethat will support Medical Doctor to implement the
output project in providingmedical/health outreach activities including health
promotion to the peopleaffected, especially to women and children.
This position will directlyreport to the Project Manager and close coordination
with Medical Doctor. Inaddition, the successful candidate will coordinate
closely with the MHPSSOfficer and Logistic.
SPECIFIC TASK
- Support Medical Doctor in planand conduct medical/health outreach
activities (including health promotion) toaffected populations, mainly mothers
and children with coordination with LocalPuskesmas
- In coordination with ProgramManager, attending any technical working group
coordination meeting in healthand/or nutrition clusters
- Provide referral to familiesand or children when needed to the health
facilities
- Collect and analyze data andreport it to the Program Manager
- Coordinate with local Puskesmasregarding data and numbers of medications
needed
- Ensure the activities arecarried out following Health protocols to prevent
the spread of Covid-19
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT:
The length of the position is for 1 month.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
The candidate should be a motivated and proactive Midwife with theright
combination of talent, energy and commitment. In addition, the candidate is
expected tohave the following criteria:
- The ideal candidate should holdminimum the Diploma (D-3) Degree in
Midwife, strongly preferred having serviceexperience in disaster affected area
- Officially registered (Having Surat Tanda Registrasi/STR) at theIndonesian
Medical Council
- Have knowledge in the Maternaland Child Health Issue and public health
nutrition in general
- Ability to collect and analyze data and effectivelywrite it in the report
- Ability to work underpressure and meet deadlines with many tasks at one
time
- Demonstrate computerskills in Microsoft Office Suite applications
including Word, Excel, andadvance skills in the use of other internet tools and
application
