Position Title: Knowledge Management andCommunications Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The USAID-fundedproject, Linkages Across the Continuum of HIV Services for Key
PopulationsAffected by HIV (LINKAGES), under the President's Emergency Plan for
AIDSRelief (PEPFAR) program is implemented by FHI 360 in partnership with
Pact,IntraHealth International and the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill,and conducts a range of activities to reduce HIV transmission among
keypopulations (KP) — sex workers, men who have sex with men, transgender
persons andpeople who inject drugs — and improve their enrollment and retention
in careand treatment across the HIV cascade. LINKAGES will accelerate the
ability ofgovernments, key population leaders, organizations working with
keypopulations, and private-sector providers to plan and implement services
thatreduce HIV transmission among key populations and their sexual partners
andextend the lives of those already living with HIV.
JOB SUMMARY/DESCRIPTION:
Under the guidanceof the LINKAGES Associate Director, Technical and the Chief
of Party, the KnowledgeManagement and Communications Specialist will
collaborate with project technicalstaff to develop and implement LINKAGES (and
other related projects) plans,with a particular focus on ensuring adequate
dissemination and demonstrable useof programmatic data for project promotions,
lessons learned, advocacy andresearch utilization.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops, prepares and/oroversees development of innovative, evidence-based
LINKAGES’ learning productsand communications (e.g., web content, research
summaries, case studies, learningbriefs, presentations, infographics,
inventories, project blurbs), incompliance with USAID marking and branding
guidelines

Serves as the liaison withinternal and external partners on all matters related
to project communications.

Ensures strong knowledgemanagement within the project, organizing and managing
information/deliverablesproduced by teams and by projects, which is compiled
into a communicationsinventory updated on a quarterly basis.

Leads development andimplementation of LINKAGES’ knowledge management
utilization strategies, incollaboration with technical teams and project
leadership. Strategies includeongoing stakeholder engagement, knowledge
exchange, communications, and policyadvocacy.

Perform other relevant dutiesas assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Master’s degree or itsInternational Equivalent in the areas of knowledge
management, datavisualization, health communications, behavioral/life/social
sciences or a relatedfield.

More than 8 years of experience, with atleast 3 years focused on communications
and/or knowledge management, ideally inhealth communications.

Proficiency in data visualizationsoftware and other technology required.

Articulate, professional and ableto communicate in a clear, positive fashion
with clients and staff.

Must be a fluent communicator(written and oral) in English and in Bahasa
Indonesia (IELTS, TOEFL or otherscores accepted as available)

Extensive experience working withministries of health, private organization,
civil society, NGOs, donors andother partners in using project-based evidence
to inform policy, program and/orpractice development or improvement.

Familiarity with USAID’s brandingand marking guidelines and communications
activities.
