Android Security (Beginner Level) Workshop on 1st October, 2017

The workshop will cover the basics of Android security and will cover the
following
· Setting up an android analysis lab
· Android OS overview
· Android application overview
· OWASP mobile top 10
· Common tools and usage
· Decompiling an APK and reverse engineering
· Using adb for device analysis
· Using emulators for device analysis
· Analyzing a live application
· Understanding bugs and attack surfaces
· Dynamic analysis
o Using proxy to analyze network traffic
· Overview of advanced methods and attacks
The workshop is free to attend; pizza will be served. However, this does not
mean that the content will be substandard. We will be making a significant
investment in the participants and want that they make the best use of it.
Because of the limitation of space and time, we might not be able to
accommodate everyone, we will be deciding our participants on the basis of a
questionnaire.
