The idea is slick. With InPaint, you take any photo that could use improvement (don't they all?) and just blot the area you want to remove. Click the InPaint button and it's gone, with the background "healed over" to make it look like it was never there in the first place. It's good for removing telephone poles, wires, trees, other objects and yes, even ex-spouses. In case you missed the report, it's at http://archive.constantcontact.com/fs142/1101458487892/archive/1112601405368.html . And, I don't think I've ever negotiated a better discounted price than this one, but it's only going to last a few more days.

01. SCREEN CAPTURE + PRINT still another screen capture program, lets your capture any requested screen area and supports systems with multiple monitors. Download free at http://www.infonautics.ch/screencaptureprint/ .

02. PROCOFF monitors up to three processes such as unattended backup, virus scan, and disk defragmentation. It shuts down the computer when the tasks have been completed. Download free at http://www.jsutils.com/software/procoff/ .

03. OPENWITH ENHANCED improves on the Windows "OpenWith" dialog box. It displays a list of the more popular applications to open a specific file type, based on an online database. Applications you have installed on your system are marked to let you know they can be used immediately; or, you will be directed to the appropriate Web site to download the application. Download free at http://extensions.frieger.com/owdesc.php .

04. HOLA at http://hola.org/ is a free peer-to-peer network and hopes to make the Internet 10 times faster with caching, multiple sources, compression, P2P protocols, etc. It creates a local cache with your Android phone or Windows PC so when you reload content it doesn't come from the Web again but from the local Hola cache. Read the FAQ at http://hola.org/faq.html to learn more about the concept and which computers, smartphones, and browsers Hola will support.
