01. HORNIL STYLEPIX. Supporting 53 languages and a portable version on USB
flash disk, this 2MB application lets you draw pictures, resize, rotate,
cut, copy, and paste photos, correct color, type text on the photo,
sharpen/blur photos, and more. Download free at
http://hornil.com/en/products/stylepix/ .

02. NOTEFLY is a very small application that makes xml-based notes, changes
their colors, makes them transparent, resizes them, sends them to Facebook
or Twitter, and more. Download free at http://www.notefly.tk/features.php .

03. WEATHERBAR shows the weather in a specific location and integrates into
the Windows 7 taskbar as well to continually display the information without
opening it. No installation is required and free download is at
http://weatherbar.codeplex.com/ .

04. DIAL2DO. I have mixed emotions about this one. Capture your thoughts
while you drive. Say "reminder" and they'll email it to you. The basic
service at http://www.dial2do.com/ is free and the subscription service adds
features such as sending, listening to and replying to email, text
messaging, interacting on the social channels, etc. Use any existing phone
to do this. Tne problem is, using ANY phone while driving is a distraction
and may be illegal in your area of residence. Add Dial2Do to the mix and
it's all the more so.

SEEING IS BELIEVING. If you're receiving this free edition of Neat Net
Tricks but not the Premium version, click here to see what you're missing:
and enjoy a recent issue of NNT Premium. If that makes you realize that
you've been deprived, we can make sure you don't miss out on the next 24

You see, "free" is good but it just doesn't have the stuff that Premium has!
See for yourself.

05. GRAMPS. There are a number of very good applications to store and work
with your family history genealogical data, but Gramps appears to be one of
the better free ones. It has an impressive interface and a dashboard that
monitors progress of your research, providing a convenient display of the
people, relationships, families, ancestry, places, geography, sources,
repositories, media, and notes that make up your tree. It supports 31
languages and generates multiple style and custom reports, charts, and
graphs, import/export in several formats, and active community involvement.
Gramps is primarily developed for Linux and UNIX-like operating systems, but
it is also available for Windows and Mac OSX. Download free at
http://gramps-project.org/ .

06. HEYDOC helps with medical information management for you and your
family. It stores names, addresses, photographs, physical descriptions,
diet diary, insurance information, medical history, symptom tracking, doctor
recommendations, contact details, printable reports and charts in bar and
line graph, immunication records, current and past medications, eye exams,
vitamins and supplements, prescription tracking, and more. Download free at
http://www.sdsoftware.org/default.asp?id=11487 .

07. 101 CLIPS captures everything you cut or copy from other programs and
keeps the last 25. When you want to paste one back, all you have to do is
restore it and click on the clip you want. Working from the keyboard, you
can choose a function key to restore and then paste any clip by typing the
letter shown next to it. See the stored clips by mousing over them, or view
several lines of text or a thumbnail if it's a graphic. Download free at
http://101clips.com/freeclip.htm .

08. PHOTOVISI at http://www.photovisi.com/ is an online tool to create photo collages. There are numerous templates in which you can add and arrange your
photos, then download and print them. A Facebook App is also available.

09. GNUCASH. Track bank accounts, stocks, income, and expenses. GnuCash
promises to be as quick and intuitive to use as your checkbook register
(remember those?) and is based on professional accounting principles for
maintaining balanced books and accurate reports. It's free open source
software and works with Microsoft Windows, MAC OSX, Solaris, BSD, and
GNU/Linux. Download at http://www.gnucash.org/ .
