[USS Vanguard] Getting settled

MJ walked into stellar cartographer and looked around. The place was nice and
comfortable. It had a home feeling to it and she smiled briefly. She walked
over to a console and peered at the screen before walking slowly around the
room. It had a huge view screen and she activated it and then turned it off.
Her smile became bigger.
She sat down in her chair and placed a picture of her and her brothers on her
desk before activating her console. She began pouring over all the data that
was there from the first officer. "Damn," she muttered as she saw how much data
she would have to go through. She walked over to her replicator, "Coffee, black
no sugar," she ordered. As the cup materialized she wrapped her fingers around
it and walked back to her desk.

Vanguard M.J walked out of her quarters. She had slept in more than she wanted
to. They had reported to her that the captain was back and ready for duty but
there was to be a party. The Lt. she had spoken to also told her that she
simply had to meet a Desdemona. MJ grinned to herself as she stepped into a
nearby turbolift, "Bridge," she ordred (i am assuming that's where the ready
room is..sorta like on voyager) As the door opened she headed straight for the
captain's ready room. "Enter," came the voice to her. As she entered she stood
at attention, "M.J valentine Reporting for duty sir!" she told him with a voice
that was filled with authority and confidence.
