Thanks Ken! Another new one. I guess looking at the wrong set of plates didn't help me... I was waiting for your response. I think V. atrifasciella, 6030 is a good match. In my first pic you can make out the darker red thick band that crosses the wings (this field mark is lost in the other pic due to the lighting). Is there any chance you recognize this either? I think its a Gelechid. I have another micro, a tort, that I will probably post here soon. http://www.flickr.com/photos/hawk-eagle/9373029813/ Thanks, Kyle ________________________________ From: kjchilds <kjchilds@xxxxxxxxx> To: "ncsc-moths@xxxxxxxxxxxxx" <ncsc-moths@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, July 27, 2013 5:23 PM Subject: [ncsc-moths] Re: Mystery micro- id help needed Try Varneria. I photographed this micro at Medoc Mountain State Park and while its pretty distinctive, and it looks familiar to me, I can't put a name on it. Anyone know what this might be? The leafhopper in the pics can serve as a size indicator. http://www.flickr.com/photos/hawk-eagle/9377833603/in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/hawk-eagle/9380667446/in/photostream/ Thanks, Kyle
