Jean,

Thank you for remaining on the alert. I agree that there is similarity in some of the photos, and the season certainly includes April-May. I am reserving judgment for a while longer and hope to hear what some others may think. This does seem to be the best candidate so far.

On Bug Guide, a couple pix look similar to your moth.  (I was looking for something else, and happened to see this.)
