Compare #3 to the other pics of 3272 on BAMONA. It's variable moth and the lighting on your pic is odd so I still think Chimoptesis gerulae is the best fit. When you can't find a match in the live pics on MPG, try rotating/flipping/stretching your image so it matches the orientation of the pinned moths and search through those. Ken, Thanks for suggestion on 3272. I agree the other one is wrong, but it's not 3272. When there's not a live photo of a moth on MPG or BG, I just move on unable to make the mental change in geometry from the pinned to the live. Doug I couldn't find anything but pinned specimens on MPG and BG, but after your suggestion found this- the longest URL I've ever seen! http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sites/default/files/voucher_images/3272_gerula_moth_chimoptesis_gerulae_march_16-2010_hart_co._ky_.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species/Chimoptesis-gerulae&h=249&w=272&sz=40&tbnid=xOAEyZ1iQ6Ef6M:&tbnh=90&tbnw=98&zoom=1&usg=__cuV8B6fUG-4OUSHlHoR3W-_TdE0=&docid=wVsyCYAJi0v5EM&itg=1&hl=en&sa=X&ei=JagKUYv7KYeg9QS3w4HgCA&ved=0CDoQ9QEwAjgK&dur=324
