From the output that Chuck asked for you are showing 2.6.35.xx
available. Chuck said he was running 2.6.38, so he must be in unstable
Debian or testing anyway. Running stable (6.0.1) I am running a 2.6.32
kernel right now.
Maybe synaptic or some such similar tool would be easier.
