[ncolug] Re: Name and Website

I would like to see the LUG become more involved within itself and
within the community... To that end, we have to revisit the offer
from NC State. I have been in communication with Ross Justice and Jim
Turner, and things are starting to move forward...

My primary concern for the group is to begin the process of developing
the seminars we will be giving to the student body/enterpreneur
education program as it moves forward. I wasn't sure what tool we
wanted to use to provide some collaboration. I have a nice GoDaddy
account for my business and I can certainly spare the space and
bandwidth, but I wanted to get some input on the tool to use. We
could use:

 - a wiki engine (Like Wikipedia's Mediawiki; solid and reliable, I've
used Wiki syntaxes before)
 - Moodle (LMS; I have no experience with this, but I have been
wanting to learn)
 - Alfresco (Enterprise Content Management; no real experience, but I
would be interested in learning)

So, three choices right off the bat that would allow for varying
levels of collaboration. Any thoughts? Do these tools sound like
possibilities or are there other suggestions from the crowd? As we
quickly evaluate tools, I want to begin developing a list of topics
which would be discussed and developed. For anyone who is genuinely
interested in helping, please contact me. I would like to be able to
delegate lessons/modules/seminars based upon skillsets and interest.
But I also need those who step forward to have a genuine interest in
helping and seeing this through. We have an amazing opportunity to
grow awareness and interest in the tools we know and love.
