Sedikit koreksi: Saya bukan pengagum GM. Buat saya GM biasa saja,
seperti cendekiawan Indonesia lainnya. Ia baru bergerak melawan Suharto
ketika Tempo dibredel. Catatan Pinggirnya juga tidak selalu bagus. (maaf
mungkin saya yang salah, karena saya memang bukan sastrawan). Namun
demikian saya mendukung semangat dia mencerahkan bangsa ini dan
menyegarkan pemikiran generasi muda.

  Komentar Samudjo yang lainnya tak perlu saya komentari, karena tidak
ada argumentasi. Bagaimana saya bisa menanggapi jika tidak ada argumen
yang diutarakan?

  Saya tidak tahu mengapa Samudjo tidak menyampaikan argumen, tapi bisa
dikira-kira ada 4 alasan:
  1) Tidak mampu berargumentasi
  2) Tidak mau berargumentasi
  3) Tidak berani berargumentasi
  4) Ketiga-tiganya, tidak mau, tidak mampu, tidak berani
berargumentasi.

Terus terang saja tidak bisa berargumentasi untuk memilih mana yang
lebih baik apakah karya AH atau GM, keduaduanya mempunyai  dasar yang
cukup kuat, menolak atau menerima hujjahnya hanya akan memperpanjang
debat saja seperti nonton tinju Mohammad Ali lawan karatenya Inouku.
