Yes, file system is ext3. I've had some problems unpacking via a linux
laptop too (connected via usb). Ideally I would like someone who already
has the build environment set up who could possibly try and compile this for
me, anyone? please?

mh, your file system is ext2/3 ?

did you try it this way ?
the build env size is unpacked about 530 mb ... so it will be difficult to
upload unpacked
