Hi,

your hint did not work, the emerge --metadata blocked at 31% ..
so i started with the "instruction" after that, i had to "emerge - av sandbox"
but:

# emerge -av sys-apps/portage

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:
Calculating dependencies... done!
[blocks B ] <dev-lang/python-2.3.6-r2 (is blocking app-admin/ python-updater-0.2)

after googling i found: http://home.leo.org/~loescher/gentoo.html

# quickpkg =dev-lang/python-2.3.5
# emerge --nodeps -avt =dev-lang/python-2.4.4-r5
# emerge -aC =dev-lang/python-2.3.5
# emerge -avt python-updater
# emerge -avt portage

maybe this will help :-)

just a question:

is it possible to reconnect to a running session after my notebook wakes up from standby ?
compiling on the nas takes ages ;-)

Oliver
