Hey,

Hello,

Within my home network I have a Dual HDD NAS (SATA) with two hard drives, currently running MRT firmware version G5S50033B34 with TELNET access; I would like to install Optware, in order to install other IPKG packages.

I have no NAS that uses the MTR Firmware so I can not make any sugesstions what
to change.

Can I upgrade the version of Busybox which comes with the MRT Firmware, to one which includes some SSH commands, without losing any existing facilities (e.g. RAID)?

There is no SSH applet in busybox.
You can compile a tiny ssh deamon like dropbear

http://matt.ucc.asn.au/dropbear/dropbear.html

and copy it onto the NAS. Again I can't tell you have to make
it autostart on boot.

Ill be away for the next few week and hopefully have some more time for
this project afterwards.
