But still it is crosscompiling and ... i have a ibook(ppc) and ...
crosscompiling sucks

Just made a little test static linked progs against uclibc can be
used in a glibc env -> like the nas!

If you wonder what the differens is:

410.6k = helloworld-glibc
 10.3k = helloworld-uclibc

(both static compiled both striped)

That dont only mean less space used on the flash or hd but
also less space in ram!

Ill give the firmware linux a shot next week.
