I’ve a plan to switch out asciidoc + xsltproc + xmlto to a single
asciidoctor based formatter. This is because there were bugs in the old
tool chain that I couldn’t easily resolve, and I hate toolchain debugging.
asciidoctor is a superset of asciidoc, and installs with a simple gem
install asciidoctor
So I’ve posted sample output of asciidoctor formatted man pages - there are
multiple theme options included — I prefer the “colony” theme so that’s
what’s in my PR.
That said, I can easily change the theme (a .css file) out. Here are the
samples (I recommend looking at the nn_get_statistics() page since that
demos the admonition callout too:
