Hi there,

If you glance at the transport and/or protocol RFCs you will quickly
realize

that nanomsg and ZeroMQ cannot be compatible (at least the currently
implemented

protocols).

to achieve that aim of compatibility, you would very likely have to open a
zeroMQ socket context, recv a msg, and pass it to a much simpler,
context-free nn_send operation.

thank you.

Hi,

Do ZeroMQ and nanomsg use the same wire protocol? Are they compatible

in any way (without a gateway)? Thus is nanomsg only a refined

implementation of ZeroMQ protocols or is nanomsg really using different

wire protocol?

No, nanomsg is not a refined ZeroMQ implementation (even though it started

as one). If you glance at the transport and/or protocol RFCs you will
quickly realize

that nanomsg and ZeroMQ cannot be compatible (at least the currently
implemented

protocols).
