Hi Mike,
Once a feature is introduced on the list and considered, it might be easier to
follow if Martin created a feature/enhancement issue on github and we could
discuss it from there in a single issue.
There are two reasons to discuss stuff on the mailing list.
1. No issue slips unnoticed.
2. The archive is permanent and local copy is stored by everyone who's
subscribed to the list. If GitHub goes out of business though, the
history would be lost.
If you are worried about too much traffic on the mailing list, I can
create a separate low-traffic one just for announcements.
