Hay Guys,

Did you know that the Band Leader of the Ohio School for the Blind is a
graduate of the Alabama School for the Blind and is totally blind himself.

I have a feeling the Ducks might give the Buckeyes a "blackeye". And oh yes
by the way.......ROLL TIDE ROLL

Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year.

    Ron and Pat,

Great story about the band! Thanks for passing it along.

    Now about the Rose Bowl...

I hope all of the Ohio State fans realize that they are not going up
against your run of the mill Duck on Friday.

    No way!

The Buckeye's will be facing the University of Oregon "FIGHTING DUCKS"
    on the gridiron!

Have you ever witnessed a fighting duck? I think not. I'm talking scary
stuff here! You know, bad to the bone type of duck!

Maybe a small wager would be in order.

Perhaps a bag of world famous Oregon hazelnuts against a bag of buckeyes!

    Happy Holidays!

    Quack

We made a mistake in our last sentence in our email earlier this morning.
We wish good luck to all who have favorite teams in bowl games this season
EXCEPT Oregon. No offense Ron Plath! We aren't crazy about your team but we
wish you and your family a Happy New year.

      Ron and Pat,

My local Lions Club donated money to the band... We had a speaker and it
was very interesting to hear how the coach worked with each of the band
members. I certainly hope that the television coverage features their
participation.

Hope all had a great Christmas,
      Mark

        Hi All,

There is a very good article today in our newspaper magazine, American
Profile, that comes every Tuesday with our local newspaper.

The cover picture and the lead story is about this remarkable marching
band from Columbus, Oh School for the Blind. By the way, this is in the midwest
edition and probably is not in the magazine in other parts of the country.
However you can go to americanprofile.com and click on the story"Hear the Beat'

This amazing band will be marching in the Tournament of Roses parade on
New Year's Day. Hope it will be featured on the telecast. It certainly should
be.

If you can't find this story on line, let us know and we should be able
to email it to anyone who wants to read it.

Just a note, each member has a "coach" who marches with them.

Hope you will be able to get this story. We also hope the Buckeyes win
on Jan 1st and any other of your favorite teams who are playing in bowl games.

        Happy New Year!

        Ron and Pat
