You actually did - but you subscribed yourself with a different mail address
(mylvmbackup@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, IIRC) so the message bounced. And then I screwed
up the approval, but had deleted the bounce already :(

I was thinking about tipping my toes into Ruby for quite some time, but never
had a real good idea for what to start with. So I'd definitely be interested
in looking into your script. Is it available online from somewhere? If you
like, I could include it into a separate branch of the mylvmbackup SVN tree.

I wonder if using your script would be an option to refactor the existing Perl
script to become more modular/flexible - the current implementation makes it a
bit difficult to add new backup mechanisms or other features.
