A Couple of updates for this week:
We play on Thursday @ Los Gatos..
it's their senior night so the FS game is a 4 pm starting time. Varsity is
7 pm
Team Dinner is Wednesday this week- Rodora and our Team Dinner Moms will be
ready...
Our Bye week is the following week, so what does that mean?
For varsity we will be preparing for a CCS playoff game. YES even with our
loss on Friday night we are still alive for the playoffs based on our
successful non-league schedule and the formula for calculating playoff
points. We had told the boys yesterday that much of our hopes depended on
Los Altos winning out and being league champs but that might not even
matter, although it would help. The bottomline is we will prepare as if we
are in.
For FS, we traditionally extend an invitation to our sophomore class to
join the Varsity for the playoffs and we plan to do the same this year.
More information on this will follow so stay tuned.
The formal announcement for playoffs will be Sunday 11/7 after the seeding
meeting that day.
We will be updating our calendar this week but as of now we will be
watching films on Friday 10/29, and practicing Monday -Thursday 11/1- 11/4.
One final comment.... We are (varsity) 7 points away from a 8-1
record..... Some very tough losses along the way. BTW our FS team is
having an excellent season with two very good league wins the past couple
of weeks.
Some great news:
As of our last home game our Snack Shack, led by the fabulous LeeAnn
Steffen finished the season with a $14, 407 profit. WOW...... Many thanks
to LeeAnn and her volunteers who worked their butt's off supporting our
fans all season. In addition, Barbara Tsai (Navarro) added some great
Spartan Gear for everyone to be decked out in.
Big Thank You---- To Karen (The Ecklund Family), Barbara, Rodora, Lisa,
Charity, Georgia, and all our parents who spent hours planning for our
Senior Night. The stadium looked great and the ceremony was perfect.
