Thank you! I'll put my email address down. It's been great getting updates from
the care home, at least we know she's being looked after in all of this chaos!

We haven't - I think it's more a case of they will skype us when they can.
We could try to arrange a time with them and all jump on Skype - but my
experience is that a) zoom and MS Teams are the only tools really capable of
handling multiple video feeds and b) I think Mutti would struggle with more
than set of us on audio, never mind video.
I have responded and put my skype ID on the list in case. When this all
started, I set up a tablet for them with skype and they weren't able to get it
to work reliably so, it would be great to hear from her and by all means
register, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
Ian.

I'd love to call her, but wouldn't want to video call on skype unless it was
something she was okay with!
I haven't responded to the message as I would also like to know your collective
thoughts.

Hi All,
We read the message in red at the end of the last update from the care home.
Just wondered whether any of you have Skyped with Mutti recently.
If so, how does she react to this and is it something worth doing?
Do the staff mind setting it up? I know they must be incredibly busy.
Some people say that those with dementia can't understand why their relative is
on the telly or they find it hard to engage with them that way.
It would be really helpful to know what we all think, whether Mutti would enjoy
this way of communicating and how we/the staff would coordinate it so they are
not bombarded.
Glenys./Mum.
