I went to see Mutti in the Beach Hut this afternoon.
I rang the bell at reception and Dawn took me round to the Hut via the
They did not ask me to fill in a form. They did not take my temperature or
ask me any health questions.
Dawn sprayed the chair and screen and then I sat down and waited.
She then sprayed inside and a carer fetched Mutti.
I could hear her and Mutti talking no problem via the intercom. Dawn said it
was on the highest volume. Mutti didn't have any problems hearing me either.
On Ian's advice I wore my boots and a warm jacket.
It was really nice to see all of Mutti, not just her face. She looked happy
and I stayed about half an hour. She said she was happy living there.
She did ask me what I was wearing on my face (a floral mask) and she did ask
my name at one point but she certainly knew who I was.
The beach theme was useful as we talked about Whitby and Scarborough.
All in all this was a very positive experience and I would certainly like to

P.S. There were actually THREE seagulls on the visitor side of the screen
but they were much smaller than the Whitby ones who steal your ice cream and
