Hope you're all doing well at this festive time!
I had a lovely call with Grandma today who was on good form!
Aysha, one of the staff at the care home, kindly sent a lovely photo of
Grandma over Skype, posing with one of the Christmas trees (I've attached
it here for you to all see!)
There were definitely good topics of conversation today. The little ones at
my work performed their nativity today so I told her all about that and the
funny things that happen in Christmas plays! Brought back memories of her
teaching days with the little ones.
Mum joined and reminisced about all things Christmassy from the Dame Alan
days and mentioned the Holy Cross festivities that Grandma used to enjoy.
You could tell by the smile on Grandma's face that these things brought
back happy memories for her.
It's lovely that Auntie Roz and Uncle Ian put up a Christmas tree for
Grandma too yesterday when they visited. I showed Grandma a memory that
came up on my Facebook today from two years ago in the care home when it
was the Christmas party and carol singing. There is a lovely photo of
Grandma and I with a Christmas tree in the background (I've attached this
too!)
