Hi All,
I hope your day is all ok, all the residents are all fine, I have had 4 staff
that have received letters or texts from the government stating they need to
stay at home for 12 weeks. Although this is not many, it will impact the home
and then, Friday, proved
with children being sent home from school with a 'cough' it may leave the
staffing compromised.
I have managed to cover the shifts so the staffing levels are covered, but I am
reaching out to you if you would like to volunteer in the home, if you do this
would have to scheduled, I would have to rely on you, we would still have to
perform checks but the
government has relaxed the police check and you can work whilst this in in
progress. We have to have this in place for all volunteers. You would have to
have the basic training also if helping with care, even with your loved one.
I am asking this now to get the balls in motion as I do anticipate that staff
may become sick, either be it themselves or their partners, or children and
then they have to self isolate for the 14 day period.
Can you phone me on Monday and let me know. We need to have a plan in progress.
If you want to be paid for this also I can get you on my payroll.
Other than that everyone is all fine and I want to keep it that way.
They have had a good day, Annette has been in as it is her weekend to work,
some of the residents from nursing went down to residential and she did a
gospel reading and a quiz, on nursing she did 1:1s crosswords, puzzles and
watched The Saint film, on dementia
they watched Jane Ayre film and also she did 1:1s and on all floors the staff
have been face timing with yourselves.
For dinner they had Ping's lovely pork casserole and lemon drizzle cake and
custard and for tea they have macaroni cheese and fruit cocktail and cream.
Everyone is in great spirits.
