Hi All,
I hope everyone is all still ok, all the residents are fine, the staff are in
good spirits and pulling together to keep the residents happy and entertained.
We have had a volunteer relative manning the phones today for the home, she has
done very well! A couple
of the staffs children have been sent home from school, so as a precaution I
have asked them not to come.
We have had smoked haddock and white wine cream sauce and some have had
battered fish and chips both with mushy peas.
and bread and butter pudding for desert. This evening we have got ploughman's
which they love.
Activities wise we have had one- to-ones through the home, puzzles and
crosswords and poetry on the nursing unit, some of the residents have been out
in the garden again this morning. We have had sing-a-long on dementia, the
staff have been cleaning on the
dementia unit and some of the resident have also joined in!
We are still facetiming the residents and staff have been sending Picture Some
residents have also facetimes yourselves.
Thank you so much for everyone who joined in the clapping appreciation for the
NHS and care staff, it was very emotional, the staff were at the home also
listening.
Leroy has deep cleaned and disinfected the bus today.
Also we are continuing with deep cleaning and steaming everything in the home.
Some of the residents have also had new glasses delivered,
Everyone is fine and remain in good spirits.
