Hi All,
Hope you're all still well, we are all still fine here, it has been rather busy
as staff are now requesting keyworker identification, as some staff have been
stopped and questioned by police. The Ipad unfortunately is a no go, as the
wifi is very bad, we will
just keep face-timing where we can and sending photos.
We have had Keep fit this morning for residential and nursing, we have started
making easter bonnets throughout the home also and some residents were taking
in the garden this morning to help Tina. Resident's have been having a dance
and a jolly on the dementia
floor and also residential.
We have had about 50 bunches of beautiful flowered delivered from the warehouse
in tesco, (they have not been on the shop floors) these were from one of my
ladies son. I decided for the staff to take first refusal and there are still
lots of bunches left, which
can be used for flower arranging.
Also ... one of our carers, Sharon used to be a hairdresser, so I have
allocated her 1x day a week in addition to her normal hours, to come in and
style and set hair etc. Leroy has bought supplies today, so we are all ready to
go.
For Dinner we have had Beef strogaoff, with spotted dick and toffee sauce and
just now for tea, we have had quiche Lorraine and sandwiches and broccoli and
pea soup...
They are just now getting ready for bed, also the staff on the dementia unit
had worked very hard and been on a showering mission and got them all nice and
ready and cosy for bed.
Some of you may have seen the news on our neighbouring care home, please do not
be alarmed, I have been told it is one suspected case and not three as
reported, just to put your mind at rest.
