Hi All,
I hope you're all well, I had to go in last night and work as a nurse at the
last minute, so I'm quite tired as you can imagine, I facetimed some relatives
so they could say goodnight, I apologise in advance for the spur of the moment
facetime, but I know you all appreciated it and the residents did too. One lady
on the dementia unit actually slept soundly through the night, which is a first.

Today they have had a good day, they're are no residents with COVID symptoms.
On the dementia floor they are all really well, and have eaten really well,
they have been watching gardening programmes and pottering about keeping busy,
they have been looking out the windows and talking about spring.
On the nursing unit, they have been doing puzzles, facetiming, reading the
newspapers, and watching Greese, on the residential unit, they have been
watching Bridge over the river Kwai, (excuse the spelling) facetiming and some
have been having a stroll in the garden.
Ping has been in and they have had pork roast with all the trimmings, bread and
butter pudding, for tea they have had veg soup, sandwiches, pies, pickles and
scotch eggs and for pudding fruit cocktail and jelly.
Everyone is in good spirits!
I can't remember if I said that I am now able to get the staff, tested
including their families they live with, if they show symptoms within 4 days of
onset. One of the team leader's husband and a night carer have been tested
yesterday and the results should be back tomorrow, they said it is surreal,
they phone you, you give them your details, and when you go, it is a drive
through and they confirm identity by car registration... There is one nurse who
comes out to the car, in full PPE, swabs, and checks your details again. They
doing 30 bookings a day per nurse. I don't know how big the team is.
