Subject: Update,
Hi All,
I hope you're all well, we have had a day with no temperatures or covid
symptoms,
🙂 I hope we are turning a corner, I have spoke to MKCC and they stated that it
seems to have plateaued in the region. I hope this is the case, also in regards
to staff I can now get them tested if they have developed symptoms within 4
days following completion of a simple referral form and the results should be
back with 48 hours.
It has still been manic, with yourselves phoning, some of you are phoning 6x a
day, we cannot actually cope with this and we need to look after them and
cannot do that if we are constantly taking phone calls, I myself have been on
the phone to relatives all
day, I wouldn't normally moan as I love a chat and I know you need
reassurances, but we will phone you if there is any change in their health.
Also, I think I have mentioned it before, but please can you nominate a sole
family member to make contact with us, as some relatives the whole family
appears to be phoning.
Our washing machine needs repairing from yesterday and also now one of the
fridges in the kitchen has broke.... hopefully there wont be a third.
We have had a good day, they have had Lasagne and garlic bread & homemade rice
pudding, for tea they have just Quiche Lorraine & baked beans, pea and ham
soup, sandwiches and
peaches & cream.
Annette (Activities) has been helping on the domestic side, On the dementia
floor they have been in really good spirits and have been doing arts & crafts,
On the nursing floor we have been facetiming and singing and on residential
they have had more pampering
sessions and some of them have had afternoon tea in the garden. It was also
our coffee and cake morning, so the cakes went around each unit. We are going
to take some of them out the front for the care home/NHS 8pm clap tonight.
We have a lady on the dementia floor that is relatively new she has been here a
couple of months, she has no family or friends and is desperate need of
clothes, if any of you can bring any, she is approx size 14-16 and she is a
size 5 shoe approx, she only
has 1 pair of slippers ATM and they are size 7 and are way to big.
Take care as always and stay safe, love from us all xxxx
Kind Regards
Catherine Tero
