Hi All,
I hope you're all well, apologies for not sending the update yesterday, my
little dog Monty has taken a turn for the worse, he was diagnosed with lung
cancer in December and leukemia, but so far has been his normal self, but
yesterday started breathing rapid, not eating and couldn't stand and today he
is comfortable in his bed, but I don't think he will last the night, he is 17
tomorrow. He has been a huge part of the home and the residents love him, he
used to go and sit on their beds with them for hours.
Cristina has been in work today, she says it has been really busy, the staff
have not had breaks..... The residents are all fine no temperatures or covid
symptoms, it is odd, I don't think 'they' really know what the symptoms are,
like I said before research has said they're are 2 strains, but will we never
know as they are only testing in hospital which does seem unfair, like the
residents on the dementia unit last week that spiked temperatures and are now
fine, it is all odd.
Anyway, they have had a good day, MIllie has come in and done practically
everyones hair on the residential unit in the hairdressers, she bought in her
own own straighteners and curling tongs, I'm awaiting for pictures to be sent,
they probably all look like they're going out for the evening.
For dinner they have had pasta carbonara, & garlic bread and bananas and
custard and omelette for tea.
On the nursing floor, they have hve been doing pampering sessions, and
facetiming and on the dementia floor they have been doing arts and crafts and
nails.
