Subject: Update
Hi All,
I hope you are all ok, We are all fine here all the residents are fit and well
and staff too,
Very busy day again today, we have had lots of lovely gifts and cards bought in
for Mothers day on Sunday,
We have 2 outings for the Nursing and ground floor residents, this mornings
outing went to St George the Marytr at Wolverton, via again all the villages
and Ouse park and this afternoon they went to The view Fishing lakes at Great
Lingford, both outings stopped
for picnics.
We have also had keep fit on all floors and they have had tea and dance on
dementia. Nicole is here on duty and she has been giving all the residents a
pamper session on the nursing floor. (She is known for this
🙂)
For Dinner we have had the classic battered fish and chips and some have had
smoked haddock with mushy peas and they had jam roly poly for Pudding.
Teatime they have just had a ploughman's.... this is very popular, we need to
put it on the menu more often.!!
We have had confirmation from numerous disciplines that meetings and
assessments will be cancelled i.e: CHC meetings, Memory service, dietetics etc,
but this was inevitable. Again the staff can still access medical services but
there will be a virtual assessment.
May I remind you in regards to taking your loved ones out, I strongly advise
against this, as you are putting them at risk, we have had questions if they
can take there loved ones home or out for coffee, again
No I would not put my loved one in this predicament and at a potential risk to
them and then also bringing them back here putting others at risk.
In relation to the Ipad- I cannot access the settings (Think it is locked by
IT), I have emailed IT and hopefully it can be sorted it out.
Also we remain to have numerous phone calls a day, some for the same residents
where they want to speak to their loved one, again, may I remind you that we do
need our phone line and as much as the staff would love to assist with them it
is also taking up the
staffs time.
On a positive note, I received a lot of compliments from yourselves for my
staff and I have collated them all and this is now on display in the staff
room, I cannot thank you enough for this and it has really boosted moral.
The residents remain in great spirits, like I said yesterday they are keeping
us going and don't seem phased by anything at all, in fact there is
more fun and camaraderie than normal
🙂
Love from us all
Kind Regards
Catherine Tero
