Now I have more questions than answers, regarding networking, if in
fact that is what I am really trying to accomplish.

What I want to do is play itunes on my stereo or on wireless speakers
on my deck; as well I want to play my movies wirelessly to/on my
widescreen TV. If I understand this correctly, I can do this with an
Airport Extreme Base Station and some kind of signal receiver on the
pieces of equipment that I want to "broadcast" to. I could also use a
D-Link wireless transmitter which by the look of it is a lot cheaper
that Airport.

My questions are:
1. Why are the non Apple wireless routers so much cheaper online. I
assume, maybe incorrectly that the Apple brand performs better or is
more efficient.
2. Why do I need "ports" on a wireless router if there are no wires?

See, I'm new at this part of computing...Doug
