With 128 MB OS 9 should be fine. I'm guessing that the apps you're running into problems with are Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator or something similar. As for memory limit - you're a million km away from that (well, not quite ;). IIRC you still have two empty slots so you could easily take your machine to 640 MB of RAM, but for your needs you shouldn't have to add any RAM. As for upgrading to OS X... it's fairly involved so not necessarily somthing to do on a whim. You'd have to buy an OS X 10.3 CD (they're available used now for <$100) and install it. And... what version of OS 9 do you have installed (9.0.x, 9.1, 9.2.x) and when was the last time you installed it? OS 9 should be re-installed every 6 to 9 months to clear out the gremlins that tend to accumulate. And... how much disk space do you have?
