Some other routers do have a USB port.
If the router does have a USB port, then the eMac will be able to access the
printer as well. You will have to delete the current printer in your System
Prefs and then choose it again. What system are you using on your eMac?
(10.4.x, 10.5.x?)
Have you already tried deleting the printer from your list (System
Prefs==>Print&Fax) and then set it up again on your MBP?
