Ten bucks per gigabyte. Amazing. How many years ago was it that Steve Jobs got
worldwide press by chucking four-kilobyte memory chips out into a Macworld
audience as if they were confetti, to show that these once-expensive things had
become so commonplace and behind the times that they were all but worthless
compared to Apple's latest offerings? And now gigabytes are - not quite
confetti yet, but commonplace. Was anybody even a year ago thinking of having a
terabyte on the desktop?
