Paul:
I think all you have to do is: turn off the sidebar by clicking on the
"Mailboxes" icon and then click and drag the header of the Mail window
to the left, forcing the program to look for space on the right to
display the sidebar. Then click on "Mailboxes" again and it should show
on the right. If that doesn't work, get a right handed computer.<G>

Set it under Mail>Preferences>Fonts.
