Hi Larry: Thanks for the heads up about the paper quality and humidity issues. I keep my paper in its original shipping wrapper. I use Wayerhaeuser copy print paper, 20 lb, which is a multiuse paper for printers, definitely not the more expensive type. I run a dehumidifier in my office during the spring/summer when it is humid, but then have a humidifier on my furnace, which I run when it gets cold. It does appear that the jamming problem has been worse since I turned on the humidifier. However, the LBM rep has checked with Brother and it appears to be a mechanical defect with the celluloid (sp?). The LBM rep tried to correct the problem by modifying a spring, etc, based on specs provided by Brother, but because that hasn't worked, he has now ordered the celluloid (sp?) part from Brother and will install that. If that doesn't help, I will definitely consider investing in the more expensive paper which has a wrapper that resists humidity. I don't see anything on the wrapping for the paper that I'm presently using to indicate it has that feature. I gather from you said below that 3 1/2 year old Brothers are known for being unreliable. I'd be interested in hearing from any Mugloites about laser printers for OS 9.2.2 that are reliable. Leith PS: My Apple Personal Laserwriter 300, although definitely showing signs of wear and tear, passed its tenth birthday in September. I know I can't get parts for it anymore, and I'm sure I'll shed a tear when it finally goes. >Hi Leith, > >3 1/2 year old brothers=8A they're all the same!!! :-) > >I came across a photo-copier site about 18 months ago that talked about >photo-copier jamming.
