Martin: I had a similar problem with a PC running Compaq's DVD player app. The stupid solution turned out to be the timer/counter. Some how, the DVD went into the slot and opened on -40 minutes (or something like that) and as soon as it got to zero it stopped... Try resetting the counter... Who knows??
