Really good advice Barry. From personal experience: by the time you hear the ominous tic, tic, tic it means you might have a day or two left on your hard drive if you're lucky. An even more useful indication is a gradual slowing down of your system. People will chase down garden paths for days trying to regain lost speed. If they would only stop to think...... electrons don't slow down, processors don't grow old. There is only one moving part in the data train - the hard drive.
