Thanks for your reply. I always use disk defragmenter and disk cleanup. I have recently installed sp3. It has always been sort of sluggish, but I think it got worse since I installed sp3.

Have you tried defragmenting your drives, and paying special attention to the page file, MFT's and those other files Windows Defragger normally won't
touch?

I have windows xp pro sp3. My bootup and logon times are very slow. Is
there anything I can do about this? I've already disabled unwanted
startup programs and shutdown unnecessary services.
