[mso] Re: word 2000 mail labels

Yup... Last name it is.

I thought the sorting was done before the data got to word though
Linda. Actually... after experimenting a bit... I can sort on a field
using the query options ummmm.. option. The *but* though, seems to be
only from a *table* rather than a query. It's strange becuse the query
sorts by last name but the data doesn't come out sorted in the merge!

This is for a client who wants to use word for the mail merge because
he feels comfortable with it. I have a few people the same in fact. I
think it's about being a bit intimidated by a "database", whereas a
word processor is perhaps more accessible and immediate. Dunno. I have
one person who opens word up in the morning and only closes it down
when she goes home! Even moves and copies files from word!
