Hey Lisa....since I know you use Access a lot, I'm curious why you don't
just leave the data in Access and use Access's Label Wizard? That will let
you sort just like any other report.

Maybe Access 2000 doesn't have the label wizard? I can't remember, but I
know it's in 2002 and 2003 (New Object button>Report>Label Wizard)

The problem in Word is the name, address, etc. are all in one table cell so
you can only sort by what's the first thing in the cell, which could be a
first name, could be "Mr.", could be anything, but I'm assuming you want to
sort them by last name?

Subject: [mso] word 2000 mail labels

Oops... FFS... Fa finger syndrome... apologies

I have been trying to create labels for printing from an Access
database... No problem really except I'm frustrated that I can't get
them sorted!!

If I choose the TABLE I can opt to sort in the query options but have
to set up fields. If I sort them in a query and choose the query then
they don't come out sorted!!

Any suggestions about why they don't please??

Lisa
