I am having a problem linking to a very large text file using Access 97. The
file is 1.4GB. I understand that you can not import a table over 1GB into
Access97, but I didn't think there were limitations on linking. The PC with
Access 97 is running Windows 2000. The link wizard never shows up- I select
the file and then an hour glass is displayed for infinity....I was able to link
to a .csv file that was 1.1GB...the link wizard popped up almost immediately....

I am able to link to the 1.4 GB text file on a different PC configured with
Access 2002 and Windows XP...

Is this an Access97 limitation...or possibly a PC issue??

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Dean
