Michele
I have OS-XP and Outlook 6, with multiple accounts. I was having the same
problem. Here is fix that helped me.......
From the main outlook menu select
File
Identities (you should see all four of your identities, if not add them)
When I want to 'mass' download I go here and UNCHECK require password. I do
this with each identity EXCEPT my main account which I always leave checked.

When I hit receive, I can then walk away and it will go thru each one until
complete.
I then go back and check the "require password" for security reasons of course.

It is a bit of fooling around but it only takes a minute and is better than
nothing at all!

When this happens to me, usually it's a problem with the server where I
get my email, not Outlook. Maybe you should talk with your ISP or
webhost.

Subject: [mso] Re: [mso]outlook repeatedly asks for passwords

I have 4 email accounts in outlook and I regularly get prompts for the
password as if it weren't saved in the settings. I've tried the service
packs, editing the registry (protected storage
system) and such to no avail. I've even reinstalled my entire os,
nothing seems to work for long. Editing the registry seems to work for a
time but not long enough and the problem is I have a ton of email that
needs to download 24/7 and it can't download say at 9:30 when I'm in bed
and it's prompting for the password. Email gets backed up and that's a
problem!

I know I've asked this on here before but maybe someone has a solution
noww?

Outlook 2002 windows xp
Thanks Lexi
