I wouldn't bank on upgrading to fix the problem Lexi.

I've forgotten most of this thread, but I presume you have hassled your ISP
about it?
Often these issues are server related.
Have you tried setting up a free email account somewhere and seeing if the
password for that account sticks?
That would indicate whether it's your system or not.

Have you tried creating a new profile in Outlook?
Done a 'repair' on Outlook?
