As off topic as this discussion is, it would be good if more computer people
talked about ethereal conversations like whose responsible for what...
Programmers aren't perfect, and that is fine, but if we could talk some more
about what folks need and what folks need to do... And if they would quit
putting us over a barrel and raping us so we have to keep updating to the
new version because the old version (which has been all patched up cuz it
was out long enough) isn't supported anymore and so nothing else wants to
work with the old versions so you have to update and become paying
vulnerable gamma testers...
Grrr...
Mac's doing it to us too with OSX. Can't quite run that on my current
computer, so as more and more stuff is only available for OSX, I'm screwed.
I think they're in the 3rd or 4th iteration of X, too. Grrr.
Guess that business model worked for ms. Suppose Apple can emulate in more
ways than one.
