Welcome!!

The kind of troubles you were experiencing just suggests to me, without
better data, that your ISP has a little problem spanning networks to
freelists occasionally. If you'd like, you can add a 3rd DNS server as a
static value to your IP settings. I've got the home server allowing
outsiders to forward through it and if you use the value, your system
should roll over to it nicely when your ISP DNS servers timeout (like they
were doing last night).
