Jonathon,

When I tried your method, it worked just fine for me.

So, type 2105 (do not press the space bar afterward)
Make sure you hold down the "alt" key while you press the 'x'.

This is what you will get: ℅

Good luck,
Debbie

Explanations I find on the web indicate this ALT-X process works in Word 2002
and 2003. A check of Word 2003 shows that when displaying the Symbols table
there is information at the bottom which displays the Unicode number (in this
case 2105) and key combination (in this case ALT-X) to insert the symbol
directly.
This feature is not in Word 2000.

For Word 2000 you need to select the "c/o" symbol directly from the "Letterlike
Symbols" subset in the Symbols display box.

Do not highlight 2105.
Try this, just type 2105 using the keypad, then hit Alt X. The c/o symbol
should just appear.
Or, another way is to type c/o and change c to superscript and o to subscript.

Hope this works for you.
